PDA gone PDQ –Palm device crashed

Filed under: Tools and Equipment — bob @ 3:55 am

As Charlie Brown used to say……….A-A-R-R-G-G-H-H!!
Today my handheld PDA died. It has been “acting up” the last few weeks, I had not been able to download entries from it into my computer. You guessed it, I lost a ton of information…all my garden logs since mid October. I’m not prone to being anti-technology but I think I’m going back to using an old fashioned note book. I have to confess it was pretty out dated and should have been replaced, but I still have garden tools that belonged to my Grand parents, and they bought those used!

Back to pushing a pencil for now,
Bob

  1. Here at work they issued me a PDA of my own once. A few months later, I scrubbed the 1/4″ of dust off it and gave it back since I could never get into the habit of using it regularly. Which some folks thought was weird since I’m so deep into computers … ;-) Mary and I don’t even have cell phones yet.

  2. What fun to read about Bob, his techno problems, and his knowledge about gardening. I am looking forward to reading more about planting, sowing, and reaping!
I do have a question, too. My yard is full of “Creeping Charley” and I need to get rid of it, but I do not want to use chemicals. I also do not have a roto-tiller, so forget that. What about covering it up to choke it? Any natural applications?

  3. Thanks for the kind words.I have not tried this, but a professional golfcourse super told me that white vinegar poured directly on broadleaf weeds will kill them.
