This online journal is about all things green and living and how they effect our lives and how we effect them. We’ll talk about gardening and nature – plants, trees, habitats, soil and weather. In the garden, yard and greenhouse; in the woods and fields.

Plants are the roots of our lives and we will share that with you.

Judy Dluzen has been at University of Michigan’s Matthaei Botanical Gardens and Nichols Arboretum for over 18 years and is currently a Senior Horticulture Assistant. She grows and displays annual and perennial flowering plants at the Gardens. She has also studied natural history for over 20 years and leads nature walks and classes.

Bob Dluzen has been involved in horticulture since the mid 1970′s when he was Horticulture Assistant for Michigan State University’s Extension Service in Monroe County. Later he was Agriculture and Natural Resources Agent for Alpena County. After leaving Extension he became a professional gardener/consultant for private estates in Southeastern Michigan.
