Our Monroe County Consumer Horticulture Educator, Jenny Stanger, will be hosting a Live Chat on Tuesday May 5th beginning at 11:30 am.

Jenny is your direct link to all of the horticulture resources at Michigan State University, so this will be a good chance to get your specific gardening questions answered right on the spot in real time.

  1. hi Bob and Judy! I am so disappointed! Our Easter lilies bloomed last year, which was a wonderful surprise, this is our new house, and it was fun to watch the flowers bloom! BUT, this year, they turned very brown just before blooming, and dried up…and look awful now…is it at all possible that the new Echinacea flowers (put in last year, blooming gloriously this year!) have “robbed” them of their nutrients? (they are the only new plants in that part of our garden) we live in upstate NY 20 minutes outsid of Rochester…..thank you for your time!!!!! God bless you both.
